      "details": "Maylee Todd is a Los Angeles–based multimedia artist, musician, and producer whose work bridges music, performance art, dance, digital avatars, and immersive technologies. Known for building conceptual worlds around her music, Todd creates interdisciplinary projects that merge pop songwriting with experimental performance and visual storytelling, often exploring themes of psychology, identity, and the relationship between humans and technology.\nOver the past decade, Todd has developed a series of multimedia performance works paired with her self-produced records. Projects such as Maylee Todd’s Musical Planetarium (2013), Inamorata (2016), and Virtual Womb (2015–2019) combined live music, choreography, and immersive visuals to create theatrical concert experiences. Her work has toured internationally, appearing at venues including Tokyo Billboard Live and Fringe Manila, and has been featured on CBC’s Exhibitionists.\nTodd has released several self-produced albums including Choose Your Own Adventure (2010) and Escapology (2013). Escapology reached #10 on the Tokyo International Billboard Charts and led to multiple performances at Billboard Live Tokyo. In 2022 she released the science-fiction album MALOO on Stones Throw Records, introducing a 3D avatar and live motion-capture performance system. The project won Best Creative Campaign at the AIM Awards and featured the first avatar performance on the NPR Tiny Desk Home Concert Series.\nHer current performances explore brain–computer interfaces, using EEG technology to translate brainwaves into music in real time. She presented this work at Elevate Festival, Canada’s largest tech summit, and received the International Achievement Award at the Women in Music Honors. Todd also partnered with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to curate the Women and Non-Binary Artists in Tech Series.",
