Summary
Building on a 2023 SXSW presentation, this panel will be a light-hearted but highly educational conversation on the current science focusing on past, present, and future questions around human sexual activity in outer space environments - whether on private commercial space stations of the near future, or settlements on the surface of the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Panelists will include some of the world's leading recognized experts in this fascinating and highly specific research field, covering everything from space medicine and biological reproduction to psychosocial issues and crew dynamics.

She is an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at USF, and reproductive endocrinology/infertility clinical fellow. She completed the NASA Aerospace Medicine Clerkship at Johnson Space Center, the NASA Spaceflight Technology, Applications, and Research (STAR) Program, and is an active member of NASA GeneLab’s Open Science Data Repository (OSDR), chairing its Female Repro Analysis Working Group. She is a member of the Aerospace Medical Association, the Space Medicine Group at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS), and lecturer for the European Space Medicine Master’s Program.",

She is Director of the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS) Space Medicine Group and was selected as IIAS Astronaut 002 in June 2024.
