By night, he is president of the Chicago Futures Salon, a nonprofit of executives, academics, artists, and civic leaders using strategic foresight and applied futurism techniques to explore possible futures for Chicago and the Midwest. He teaches as an adjunct at Northwestern University, wrote the bestselling Gamification for Product Excellence, and directed the award-winning film Prevention Through Engagement. He is a certified foresight practitioner and a Roosevelt University board member. All of it is one job: helping people imagine something better, then build it. He brought that job to SXSW 2026.",
