Summary

When we can't open our phones without being bombarded with deep fakes and half-truths, when we are told not to believe what we see with our own two eyes—it's hard not to feel destabilized. Brought together by Climate Power and Bellwethers, this panel is centred on the upcoming film, The Weatherman. It explores how extreme weather survivor stories create the shared understanding that drives powerful social movements and policy change. Join filmmakers, local survivors, and policymakers to discover how real stories about the personal and economic impacts of extreme weather—told through the lens of film—can lead to real change.
