      "details": "Celebrating his 35th year in the music industry in 2026, Michael Starr, runs the promotion department at indie-powerhouse, Glassnote Records, where he has spent the past 15 years launching/developing/supporting the careers of such artists as Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, CHVRCHES, Childish Gambino, Two Door Cinema Club, Jade Bird, AURORA, bby, Tors, Silvana Estrada and more.  \rStarr's career background also includes stints in retail management, marketing, and artist development.  Michael has spent his entire music career residing in Texas, and he's a proud Austinite who embodies the spirit of SxSW.  He's always happy to lend an ear, offer some input when asked for it, and encourages people to chase their dreams.\rStarr loves working closely with artists & managers to help guide them through today's ever-changing industry landscape to put them on the path to success, not just at radio, but at relationship-building, content creation, live show development, mental & physical health & overall well-being.\rPrior to his time at Glassnote, Michael had his fingerprints on the development & success of such artists as Evanescence, Seether, Creed, Drowning Pool from the 2000s, as well as Lit, Eve 6, Vertical Horizon, and more from the 1990s.",
