      "details": "Amanda Garcia Davenport was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, and built her career in Austin, where she immersed herself in the world of music, storytelling, and community. She joined the Recording Academy in January 2020 as the Membership Manager for the Texas Chapter. In her current role, she leads national membership outreach for Pop, Dance/Electronic, New Age, Ambient, and Chant genres, while also supporting the Texas, Memphis, and Pacific Northwest Chapters.\rBefore joining the Academy, Davenport worked at Giant Noise PR. Prior to that, she served as the Outreach and Communications Specialist at the SIMS Foundation, a nonprofit providing mental health and addiction recovery support to music industry professionals and their families. Earlier in her career, she held several roles at Visit Austin, including Music and Film Coordinator and Music Industry Manager, where she helped shape Austin’s reputation as the “Live Music Capital of the World.”\rIn addition to her professional work, Amanda is a founding co-chair of the Women in Music Austin chapter, reflecting her commitment to advocacy and equity in the industry. She earned her degree from Texas State University and currently resides in South Austin with her familia, and their dog, Chico.",
