      "details": "Alex was born and raised in Texas, growing up in Fort Worth and attending the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a BFA in Radio-Television-Film in 2014. A lifelong student of cinema, Alex’s love for the silver screen drew him first to Los Angeles, and then to XYZ Films, where he worked from 2018-2025.\r\r\r\rAs Director of Acquisitions and Development at XYZ, Alex contributed to a wide slate of projects at all stages of production, including THE EDGE OF NORMAL starring Chloe Grace Moretz and directed by Carlota Pereda; THE RITUAL starring Al Pacino and directed by David Midell; and BANQUET starring Meghann Fahy and directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia. \r\r\r\rIn 2025, Alex founded Dracena Pictures with a mission to continue discovering bold new voices in independent film and producing theatrical titles for a volatile cinematic landscape. His current slate of upcoming projects includes THE BROODMARE, to be directed by Anna Zlokovic and projects to be announced from filmmakers Jacqueline Castel and Jennifer Reeder.",
