      "details": "Ron Schmidt is an accomplished film and television producer known for his keen eye for talent and quality storytelling. With over three decades in the industry, he has played a pivotal role in the production of numerous award-winning films and television series including HBO’s “TASK” starring Mark Ruffalo, “The Sympathizer” starring Robert Downey Jr and directed by Park Chan-Wook, the acclaimed “House of the Dragon” - HBO’s prequel to “Game of Thrones”, and “Mare of Easttown” starring Kate Winslet where he shared the Emmy nomination for Best Television Movie and Directors Guild of America nomination for producing. For HBO’s “Watchmen”, he won an Emmy for Best Limited Series and for Bessie, he won an Emmy for Best Television Movie. \r\r\r\rA New Jersey native, Schmidt attended Emerson College and then graduated from Syracuse University before beginning his film career in Los Angeles in the early 1990s, first as a production coordinator on such titles as Matthew Broderick’s “Infinity,” Guillermo del Toro’s “Mimic” and Scott Silver’s reboot of “The Mod Squad,” before graduating to unit production manager on several productions, notably Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s 2005 classic, “Sin City.”\r\r\r\rSchmidt went on to produce such notable films as “Promised Land” for Gus Van Sant, “Foxcatcher” for Bennett Miller, “Black Snake Moan” for Craig Brewer, “The TV Set” for Jake Kasdan and “Operation Finale” for Chris Weitz. \r\r\r\rHe is currently working on HBO’s and DC’s “Lanterns” from EPs Chris Mundy and Damien Lindeloff starring Kyle Chandler & Aaron Pierre.",
