      "details": "Karim Lakhani serves as the Head of Development for Television & Film at Yvonne Orji’s In & Thru, where he oversees and supports the company’s first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television. In this role, Karim collaborates with Yvonne to develop scripted drama and comedy series, including Yaa Gyasi’s Transcendent Kingdom, along with other unannounced projects for cable, streaming, and broadcast.\r\rThroughout his tenure Karim has held positions at Netflix, NBCUniversal, Baobab Studios, 30WEST, and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). He’s worked across both domestic and international markets such as India, Korea, Sub-Saharan Africa, Spain, France, and Italy. \r\r\r\rDuring his career Karim has worked across live-action and animation projects for film and television including Jeremy Caplin’s Academy Award Nominated I LOST MY BODY, LeSean Thomas’s hit anime series YASUKE starring Lakeith Stanfield, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia’s THE PLATFORM, Alexander Moratto’s 7 PRISONERS, Hikari’s 37 SECONDS, and the upcoming animated workplace comedy series INTERCATS, for Disney+. He also has a passion for representation and inclusion. At NBCUniversal, he served as a consultant to the Global Talent Development & Inclusion and NBCU Launch programs. Here, he lent his expertise to emerging writers, helping them hone their craft and secure staffing opportunities across Universal Television, Universal Content Productions, and NBC Entertainment. Karim's innovative spirit was also evident in his role as he launched NBCUniversal's first Animation Writers program, a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with DreamWorks Animation and Illumination Entertainment. Karim's journey in the entertainment industry began at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he embarked on a career that saw him rise from the mailroom to an agency assistant within the International and Business Development groups. Karim graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Media and a minor in Digital Cinema. ",
