      "details": "Cris Gris is a Mexican filmmaker with an MFA in directing and screenwriting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her films have screened internationally at prestigious festivals, including La Semaine de la Critique, Festival de Cannes. Gris has written and directed music videos nominated by MTV Latin America for “Video of the Year.” Her short San Miguel received the Spike Lee Film Production Fund, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Fellows Fund, a National Board of Review grant, and the Screenwriting Wasserman King Award.\r\r\r\rHer short Alma y Paz won the Special Jury Award at the Morelia International Film Festival and premiered internationally at Berlinale’s 72nd edition. Gris is a Film Independent Project Involve fellow and a Sundance Institute Screenwriter and Director Lab Fellow. She directed three episodes of VGLY, an HBO Max comedy on trap music (2023), one of the platform’s most successful Mexican productions.\r\r\r\rCris directed three episodes of Amazon's Prime Video series adaptation of the best-selling Argentinian novel Cometierra (Eartheater), and also directed three episodes of VGLY’s second season which just premiered on HBO Max. She is currently developing, alongside showrunner Adriana Pelusi and actor Adam DiMarco, The Incompetent, a feature film set in Mexico City.",
