      "details": "With 9+ years of experience in strategizing and conducting mixed-methods human-centric research, Dr. Helia Taheri is an award-winning researcher cross-pollination between different fields of architecture, human behaviour, and sustainability, and committed to bridging the gap between industry and academia. She has led and conducted human-centric research in client projects (i.e., workplace, residential, mixed-use, master planning, retail) across the globe, and led multiple internal research initiatives (i.e., KPI-Driven Design Toolkit, and workplace post-occupancy evaluation (POE) toolkit). Her strength is to design inclusive methods to gather reliable and credible data from multiple stakeholders and synthesize them to inform design decisions and have a positive impact on people, the planet, and business.  \nHelia holds a Ph.D. in human-centric research from North Carolina State University, an M.S. in Sustainability, and a B.Arch. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran. She serves as co-chair of the Researchers in Professional Practice Knowledge Network at the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA), acts as a Design Research Advisor for the Coalition for the Advanced Understanding of School Environment (CAUSE), and is also a SXSW mentor and a member of the Building Brains Coalition.\nIn her free time, she loves hiking and traveling across the world to explore different cities, architecture, cultures and food with her lovely life partner.",
