Summary

You’ve seen the viral humanoid demos—now meet the people actually shipping them. From hospitals to warehouses, humanoid robots are already on shift. They ride elevators, open doors, and work alongside people in busy environments. But making that leap from prototype to real-world, reliable performance? It’s hard. This panel brings together renowned founders and researchers who’ve built and deployed some of the first real humanoids at scale. Join us for a behind-the-scenes conversation about what's working, what’s not, and what it really takes to get robots out of the lab and into the world.

He earned his Master’s in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and has authored influential work published in top venues such as NeurIPS, ICRA, IROS, JFR, and Springer. His research spans reinforcement learning, multimodal perception, and edge deployment, and he is a named inventor on patented work in delivery robots and agricultural robotics. Harjatin co-founded Bloomfield Robotics, where he built and deployed deep-learning pipelines on edge devices for large-scale agricultural phenotyping across several continents; the company was successfully acquired by Kubota North America. He has since applied his expertise at scale, first at Amazon, where he developed 3D perception and end-to-end reinforcement-learning autonomy for the Scout delivery robot, and now as Head of Embodied AI at Diligent Robotics. At Diligent, he is responsible for designing and deploying ML systems for the Moxi robot, including multimodal transformer-based semantic scene understanding models. He is actively working on world models for semantic 3D costmap prediction, and emerging vision-language-action models for manipulation. His work focuses on pushing the boundaries of embodied AI while ensuring efficient, reliable deployment on edge compute platforms.\n\n",
