      "details": "Awais Azhar serves as the Executive Director of HousingWorks Austin, where he works to support affordable housing development, anti-displacement strategies, and various attainable housing initiatives through research, education, and advocacy. Prior to his current role, he served as the Deputy Director at the organization. \n\nFor over a decade, Awais has advocated for affordability and mobility opportunities in Austin in various capacities. He currently serves as Chair of the Project Connect Community Advisory Committee, and as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Community Advisory Council, and Capital Metro Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Community Advisory Group. In the past, he has served on the City of Austin Planning Commission, Rally Austin (Economic Development Corporation) Board, Codes and Ordinances Joint Committee, Community Development Commission, the Austin Housing Coalition Executive Committee, and Homelessness Continuum of Care Membership Council.\n\t\nAwais has a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning and a Master of Public Affairs and is currently a Community and Regional Planning Ph.D. Candidate at The University of Texas at Austin.\n",
