Summary

Torture and the Desert Spiders is a NYC-based indie post-punk project based on the songwriting of NY-native Anna Kunz. The project, previously based in the north of England, has performed well over 400 shows since its inception, including a currently running 46+ week headline residency in NYC as well as shows for the BBC at the Cavern Club (Liverpool), at Webster Hall (NYC), for the British Arts Council with Mattiel (Hull), at Kendal Calling Festival (2022, 2023), and sold out shows at the Supersonic Club (Paris), The Windmill Brixton (London), and Night and Day (Manchester, UK). The project has recently released two singles mixed by Alex Poeppel (Telescreens). Torture and the Desert Spiders next NYC show will be supporting Cab Ellis at the Bowery Ballroom on January 9th.
