Tomar and the FCs
Summary
Tomar Williams got his start singing lead on the Chitlin Circuit with his family band in the late 1980s. After several decades as a music producer and side man, Tomar decided to return to his roots as a frontman. The FCs were founded in 2014 by Paul Kresowik (drums) with Andy Tenberg (guitar), Mitch Fischels (bass), and David Earl (keys). In 2015, Tomar was introduced to the FCs by Nikolas Bouklas (sax) and Tomar and the FCs was born. Over the last decade, the band has earned a reputation as one of Austin’s best bands with regular performances at iconic venues like the Continental Club, C-Boys, and Antone’s and multiple Austin Music Awards. They have toured all over the country and have performed at ACL Music Festival, Old Settlers Music Festival, River Revival, SXSW, and Bonnaroo. The band has four recordings, the EP Day by Day, and albums Heart Attack and Rise Above. Their third full length album, Soul Searching, was released in February of 2025 on Tenwik Records. Tomar and the FCs currently includes Tomar, Paul, Andy, Mitch with Jorion Dawson (sax), James Rodman (keys), and Chris Cermak (trumpet).
